Fu Amulet
$250.00
A magical and meaningful piece that was inspired by my ancient ancestors. The Fu Amulet symbolizes good fortune, wealth and prosperity. The bat ("Fu") has been depicted in Chinese artwork dating back thousands of years (B.C.) and still continues to be used today. The bat is a popular symbol that is commonly used for Chinese amulets and talismans where the number of bats displayed carry different meanings based on the Wufu or Five Blessings, from the Book of Documents, Zhou Dynasty (c. 1046 BC–256 BC).
The Five Blessings signify:
1) health
2) wealth
3) long life
4) love of virtue
5) peaceful death
Hand-fabricated amulet in sterling silver, hand-engraved, antique patina with layered detail, set with a gorgeous Chinese writing stone (Basalt Porphyry/Porphyrite).
"Chinese Writing Stone is very much a stone of reaffirmation and recommitment. It reaffirms relationships, strengthens commitments and reinforces loyalties. At the same time it also helps us to adjust to change and to be more original about how we chose to live. Chinese Writing Stone stimulates our creativity but allows time for our ideas to mature before we put them into action, it then helps us to accept the responsibility for our own choices."
