GLOAM: the time of day immediately following sunset.

I am a Texas-based visual artist and silversmith with a BFA in Graphic Design.

My journey into jewelry-making began when I became increasingly disatisfied and unable to find pieces that I felt expressed my personality. I am a traditional artist (drawing and painting) first and foremost, but entered into the world of jewelry full-on, after I was inspired on a trip to Prague by the famous Art Nouveau works of Rene Lalique. Having held a long love for the dark, strange and mysterious, I think jewelry is wearable art and each piece acts as a special vessel, waiting to be filled with unique stories and meaning by the wearer. I am fond of bold, sculptural and statement-like pieces and have a wide variety of passionate interests including traditional painting, drawing, crafts, design, books, music, film and cinema, mythology, storytelling, ancient history and civilization, philosophy, and more.

NOTE:
I try to update the shop as much as possible but I frequently and regularly vend my work locally at art markets in the Houston area.
