"I am the creator of living fire..."

-Anon (c.1500BC)

The Scarabaeus Sacer is cut-out and featured on the backside of this simple, minimalist piece set with royal blue amber on sterling silver. When the light catches from behind, the scarab's silhouette reflects through since the stone is semi-transluscent.

Sacred to the Egyptians and a symbol of Kephri, a symbol of regeneration, renewal and rebirth.

Like the characteristics of the dung beetle, Kephri, the god of the rising sun, would roll the sun through the underworld at night, pushing it over the horizon into the morning.

Materials: Sterling silver, blue amber
